me perceive place
Performance / Media-Installation, 2011

Bella Angora‘s productions are very strongly associated with the performative. Her productions, integrating the concept of the installation, are often enriched with videos, literary elements and self-composed songs in order to reach the viewer on different layers of perception. Music has, in this context, a signifi cant value in her work and is used by the artist as an emotional backdrop. The performance project „me perceive place“ broaches different issues concerning the physical and psychological positionings within different societies. Using a media installation created for the performance the artist defi nes a space in which to communicate with the viewers on this subject in single performances, utilizing different channels of perception.
